Consultant/Maintenance Specialist

Gavin Rush

Gavin has an extensive trade background which includes running his own successful automotive repair business. A move into design and technical sales then widened his experience before moving into heavy equipment management. This background enabled a good transition into maintenance improvement and CMMS implementation, where Gavin provided key input into Boral’s successful national Oracle eAM roll out. Gavin joins APMMS with proven experience around change management, system configuration and maintenance strategy to provide key input to any project, ensuring a rapid return on investment.

Inventory/CMMS Data Specialist

Jim Comerford

Jim was with Gadsden packaging for 16 years as the stores and purchasing officer. During this time he led a successful inventory reduction programme, effectively reducing inventory to $500K from over $1.5M. Jim joined Boral Transport in 1992, where again he was instrumental in stock rationalisation. Boral was then awarded a Daimler Chrysler dealership, with Jim responsible for the effective management of heavy vehicle parts using the Daimler Chrysler SPIC (Spare Parts Inventory Control System).

Jim then managed the setup of a greenfields store for Boral at Prestons, which became a benchmark for the business. Since joining APMMS Jim has worked at BP Solar, where he headed up their international cataloguing effort, and at a number of key Boral sites improving and rationalising their inventory management and processes.

Jim has provided functional business support for Oracle eAM for over 18 months. His key skills around asset and strategy setups have ensured that key business users, at the site and workshop level, receive the support and training needed to ensure that eAM delivers its payback.
